I wish all of our Mothers a very Happy Mother's Day this Sunday!

Looking for something fun to do on Mother's Day weekend?

Check out Mayfair By The Lake May 9th & 10th from 9am-4pm at 100 Lake Morton Dr.in Lakeland.

Mayfair originally began in 1971 as a small craft show but has grown to more than 150 booths and attracts more than 70,000 visitors. This festival happens each year on Mother's Day Weekend.

They feature different forms of art including paintings, jewelry, stained glass, and more.

In addition to the art booths, there will be plenty of food and drink vendors available.

Florida Peach Party - Golden Ridge Groves - May 2, 2026 11am - 8pm

Looking for something fun to do this weekend?

How about the Florida Peach Party at Golden Ridge Groves?

Golden Ridge Groves offers fresh Florida peaches, peach cobbler, peach ice cream, and peachy drinks during your visit. You will also experience a Peach cookout. Also be sure to visit the farm market.

Kids can enjoy the Peach Party Game Zone offering obstacle courses, bounce houses, axe throwing, cornhole, and more.

U-Pick is available for sunflowers & zinnias during the Florida Peach Party.

Golden Ridge Groves is located at 2129 Alturas Rd in Bartow. The Florida Peach Party is on May 2nd from 11am to 8pm. Admission is free. There is a small fee for the game zone and U-pick.

Harvest Holler - Sunflower Spring Fling 2026

Looking for something fun to do this weekend?

Come out and enjoy the first Spring Fling Sunflower Maze.

Find your way through the sunflower maze, pick flowers to make your own arrangement, check out KT's Mini Moos where you will see miniature cows and other farm animals, enjoy a hay ride, cow train, playground, and more.

The Sunflower Spring Fling is located at the Harvest Holler Corn Maze in Polk City, Florida.

The event is only for 3 days on April 25th, May 2nd, and May 9th.

It is Time for the Sun N Fun Fly-In!

If you have not experienced the Sun N Fun Fly-in, make plans to take part in the event this year!

This is one of the most looked forward to aviation events of the year. The Sun N Fun Fly-in started in 1974 as a smaller fly-in for aviation fans. It has grown into one of the world's largest aviation events and Florida's largest yearly event. It brings about 200,000 visitors, exhibits, large aircraft fly-in, aerial demonstrations by military and non-military aircraft, concerts, and much more.

Some of the military participants will be the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team, the U.S. Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet Demo Team, and the U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III....

What is the Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival All About?

The Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival is all about Sand Sculpting. There will be 18 Professional Sculptors come from around the world to compete in this festival at Clearwater Beach, Florida. They will use 1,000 Tons of Sugar Sand to create their Works of Art.

The Festival opens on Friday 3/27 and concludes 4/12.

The Theme for this year is United In Sand: Celebrating Sports & Spirit. There will be a special tribute honoring the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

Also, there will be free sand sculpting classes, live music, fireworks, food venders, and more.

Have you Visited The Titanic Artifact Exhibition?

Looking for something different to do this weekend? Were you ever curious about the Titanic? You are in luck. There is a Titanic exhibition in Orlando on International Dr. just waiting for you to visit.

You can step onboard the Titanic and see hundreds of authentic artifacts including jewelry, dishes, luggage, a large piece of the ship's hull, etc. that were recovered from the wreckage.

Also see full-sized recreations of some of the rooms, the Grand Staircase, Promenade deck, touch an iceberg and more.

They are open daily from 10am - 8pm.

Winter Haven Community Fest - March 7, 11am to 4pm

Do you live in the Winter Haven area? Here is an event you might want to attend this weekend!

The Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their 12th Annual Winter Haven Community Festival at the park downtown this Saturday March 7th, from 11am to 4pm.

Be sure to bring your friends and families to enjoy Disney Characters, Bounce Houses, a Rock Wall, Balloon Creations, Games, and of course Food.

This event brings many of the local business together for you to experience first hand at the Festival. Be sure to check out all of the booths.

There is no charge for the Festival or to enjoy all of the Fun!

It is time for Strawberry Shortcake!

That is right! It is time for Strawberry Shortcake!

The Plant City Strawberry Festival started on 2/26 and will go through 3/8. They are open from 10am to 11pm.

The Strawberry Festival started in 1948. Today, more than 10,000 acres of strawberries are planted every year locally. The festival ranks in the Top 40 Fairs in North America.

Enjoy Headline Entertainment, Youth Livestock shows, Exhibits, Rides, Games, Food, and of course don't forget to enjoy some Strawberry Shortcake.

Simply...there's ALWAYS something to do! Sunshine is a magnet for fun activities. If you don't already have plans this weekend, here's an idea for you!

Spring Training starts this Sunday February 22nd 1:05pm with the Detroit Tigers in Lakeland at the Joker Marchant Stadium.

The Detroit Tigers have been coming to Lakeland since 1934 for their Spring Training. The 2026 Grapefruit League schedule will run through March 21st.

Mark your calendars and take advantage of these games over the next month.

Wizard of Oz - You Must Follow the Yellow Brick Road!

Are you looking for theatre productions without traveling to Tampa or Orlando?

This weekend are the final shows for The Wizard of Oz stage production at the Theatre Winter Haven.

Follow Dorothy and her dog Toto as they travel from Kansas over the rainbow. Along the way she meets The Scarecrow, Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion who accompany her to the Land of Oz in this musical production. The Wizard of Oz was originally filmed in 1939.

2026 Florida State Fair - February 5th - 16th

It is time for the 2026 Florida State Fair! The Fair starts today, February 5th, and runs through February 16th. The Florida State Fair is located in Tampa and will be celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the United States.

This is an opportunity to experience Crafts, Livestock Shows, Competitions, Music, Food, Rides, Concerts, Displays, and much more. There will be Extraordinary Firework shows five of the nights from 8:30pm to 9pm. One of the Highlights will be 500 drones in the sky showing the journey of America over the last 250 years.

Some other points of interest would be the Chalk Art, Baton Twirling Competition, Mural Painting, and don't forget the Demolition Derby. I counted ove...

2026 Gasparilla Pirate Festival

If you are looking for some Pirate fun this weekend, you will want to attend the Tampa Bay Gasparilla Pirate Fest Saturday 1/31. Festivities start at 10am through 8pm.

The Festival starts with hundreds of boats accompanying the Jose Gasparilla II Pirate Ship into Tampa to seize the keys to the city. After capturing the keys to the city, the Festival continues to a parade from Bayshore Boulevard into Downtown. Be sure to check the schedule for the events of interest. Parade starts at 2pm.

29th Annual Lakeland Pigfest

Looking for something interesting to do this weekend? Good News! It is time for Lakeland’s Annual Pigfest. The Pigfest features over 150 barbeque teams in competition to see whose Barbeque recipe is the Best!

Admission is only $5 each for ages 13 and older. To purchase food and items at the Pigfest, you will need Pig Bucks which can be purchased at several locations throughout the grounds. Parking is free.

This year it will be located at the Sun n Fun Expo Campus at 3875 W Pipkin Rd in Lakeland. The events are on Friday 1/23 5pm to 10 pm and Saturday 1/24 10am to 5pm.

Live music is also provided at the Southern Homes Soundstage for your enjoyment!

Annual Treasure Island Kite Festival & Competition

Welcome to the 29th Annual Treasure Island Kite Festival & Competition

January 16th - January 18, 2026

Watch the Kite Displays, Competitions, Workshops, and more.

Kite flyers come from the United States as well as other countries to compete.

There will be large Kites up to 90’ Long, Sport Kites, a Candy Drop, and Kites that fill the sky with Bubbles.

When the sun goes down Kites with LED lights will take to the sky for nighttime flying and team performances.

Location: 10700 Gulf Blvd, Treasure Island, FL 33706

Hours for the event are:

1/16 Friday, 12pm – 5pm, 6:30pm - 8pm
1/17 Saturday, 10am – 4pm, 6:30pm - 8pm
